About the Artist

Hi! I’m Day Kennedy. I’m a self-taught stained glass artist from Atlanta, GA. I began my glass journey in 2017 and immediately fell in love with the process and design challenges of glass as a medium. I am captivated by all of the colors, textures, refractions and other magical qualities that different types of glass have and use those qualities as inspiration for my designs. Each piece is designed and handcrafted by me in my Atlanta, GA studio.

You can find me at various pop-up art markets and festivals around Atlanta. I’ve also got designs for sale at my new retail store ATL Glassworks! ATL Glassworks sells glass and supplies to other glass artists and hosts regular beginner stained glass classes.

Follow along with me on Instagram to stay up to date on new designs, events, work-in-progress sneak peeks, and occasional pics of my dog Jude.

Care Instructions for Stained Glass

Glass is fragile! Please handle with care and place in an area that is out of reach of children and pets. Be sure to hang from a secure and sturdy hook or nail. Suction cups are not recommended as they often fail. If you choose to use a suction cup, regularly push out any air bubbles and check often to make sure it is secure.

Each stained glass piece has been cleaned and polished with wax. The wax acts as a sealant that slows the natural oxidation process of the solder, zinc or lead used to construct the design. To clean, wipe with a soft cloth such as microfiber or an old tshirt. Do not scrub or use an abrasive sponge. Do not use any harsh chemicals including ammonia-based window cleaners (ie Windex). To restore shine and add further protection from the oxidation process you can apply car wax, let dry until hazy then buff with a clean cloth.

**Solder contains lead. Keep out of reach of children and pets and wash hands after handling.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
